As an experienced fisherman who had fished in Alaska, Central America, Canada, Bahamas, and more of the US states. I find that steelhead fishing with Bobby Fragale is one of my true favorite outings. Having fished with Bobby for at least 25 days, i find him extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful and a great teacher on how to be successful with steelhead and smallmouth fishing in eastern Ohio and western PA. I look forward to my next trip and strongly recommend him as a guide.

My daughter and I have had the pleasure of stalking steelhead with Bobby with great success. I’ve enjoyed guided fly-fishing trips in salt and fresh water from Alaska to Belize but had never fished for steelhead.  The rivers running into the south shore of Lake Erie seemed to be a good place to give it a try.  In April, 2019, I was guided by Bobby Fragale who turned out to be knowledgeable, enthusiastic, attentive and personable.  He knows these rivers well and put me on a ton of fish during the three days we fished while others on the river struggled.  He ranks as one of the top guides I’ve fished with and I would highly recommend him if you plan to fish for steelhead in the Ohio or Pennsylvania rivers on the south shore of Lake Erie.

I’ve been fishing with Bobby for several years now and hope to be fishing with him for a long time to come.  Steelhead fishing around Erie is the highlight of my fishing year.  Bobby has always put me over fish and provided great rigs and even better advice.  I’ve learned a lot from him.  Besides being an excellent guide Bobby is a lot of fun to be around.  We always laugh a lot on fishing days.  Since I am of the elderly persuasion I rely on him to keep me safe and vertical while on the water.  And this he has done every time.  Bobby is my go-to guide as well as my good friend!!
